ARTIST STATEMENT

My work vacillates between figurative, non objective abstract and abstract figuration. However, one element is always present - it must have some meaning for me. I try not to elucidate my personal meaning in the work, but rather leave enough visual information out so that the viewer can personally resonate, or not, with the painting. Boredom is something that I try to avoid. I do this by experimenting often with different materials.
